BETOULA-SYMBIDA LEAF 50gr
1.94€
It is a broad-leaved deciduous tree, with hardwood, of the genus Simeida in the family Simeidae, which also includes alder, hazelnut and anchovy, and is closely related to the beech/oak family, Phygoides. They are usually rather short-lived pioneer species widespread in the northern hemisphere, particularly in northern temperate and cold climates. The simple leaves are alternate, solitary or double-sawn, feathery-veined, meristematic. Often occur in pairs, but these pairs are actually borne as if by stinging, double-leaved, with lateral branchlets. The fruit is small pinnately lobed, though the blades may be indistinct in some species. The bark of all birch trees has characteristic markings such as long, horizontal indistinct freckles, and is often detached in thin papyrus plates; it acts as a diuretic, antiseptic, and tonic. It is an effective remedy for cystitis and other urinary tract infections. Perhaps because of its cleansing and diuretic action, this plant has been used for gout, rheumatism and mild arthritic pains. The bark soothes muscle pain if used externally.
