Thyme is used fresh and dried. In Greece you will use it to flavor and add flavor to meat, salads, marinades and fish. Thyme retains its flavor when dried better than many other herbs. It is used against gingivitis, caries and dental plaque. Gargles with thyme decoction have good results against sore throats and severe coughs.
