SAGE MATZO

Sage (sage, also called garden sage, or common sage) is a perennial, evergreen semi-evergreen, with woody stems, grayish leaves and purple-blue flowers. It is a member of the family Lamiaceae and is native to the Mediterranean region, although it has been naturalized in many places around the world. It has a long history of medicinal and culinary use, and in modern times as an ornamental garden plant.Varieties are quite variable in size, leaf and flower colour, with many differentiated leaf types. The plant flowers in late spring or summer. The leaves are elongated, ranging in size up to 6.4 cm long by 2.5 cm wide. The leaves are grey-green.The sage is used for digestive problems, including loss of appetite, gas (flatulence), stomach pain (gastritis), diarrhea, bloating, and heartburn. It is also used to reduce the overproduction of sweat and saliva,for depression, memory loss, and Alzheimer's disease.
